LOW
COST AIRLINES IN EUROPE. The
success of low cost airlines (a flight for three in Europe)
is based on a simple recipe : small prices for early bookings,
first prices very attractive which often forget to include fees
and charges (airports, safety, administration), sometimes transaction
charges (between two and seven euros), paying services
on board, limited weight for the luggage, paying change booking
to which the possible difference of price is added, low structural
costs and choice of secondary airports.
Priority to prices and websites The
low cost companies gather true low cost
conveyors, but also some low fare
companies. The border is sometimes vague, especially when the
same company cumulates low cost flights and charter flights
and/or posts the flights of low cost companies partners. The
most beautiful successes are generally companies which gather
all the bookings on their website : they sell their tickets
only through their website (the logo "€uro" distinguishes
them in the list below) and refuse to integrate booking systems
used by travel agencies.
